Dr. Robert Alan Rifkin, Center Director

Dr. Rifkin is our center's founder and director. He has been a chiropractor and natural health provider since 1982 and is recognized as "an outstanding practitioner of alternative medicine" by the Washingtonian Magazine. Before becoming a chiropractor, Dr. Rifkin was a high school teacher. He incorporates all of his skills by giving treatments in our center and presenting seminars to our community. He is a graduate of Northwestern College of Chiropractic and a member of the Acupuncture Society of America, and the Maryland Chiropractic Association, among others. |
Dr. Cheryl Lee-Pow, Doctor of Chiropractic

Dr. Lee-Pow is a Graduate of Butler University where she recieved her Bachelors in Biological Sciences and Doctor of Chiropractic at New York Chiropractic College.
Dr. Lee Pow practiced in Buffalo New York where she has been a Consulting Chiropractor for Buffalo Bandits Professional Lacrosse Team since 2006 when they made it to the cup finals. She has been involved in volunteering her time, in treating and assisting in Chirporactic care for several sports teams and events including Division 1 Track & Field Championships, US National Taekwondo Championships, and the Boilermaker 15K Cayuga Lake Triathlon just to name a few. She is the current chiropractor for the Washington DC Divas Women's professional football team. She is also the Maryland provider for the EX2 Adventure races. Most recently she was a member of the AST medical team treating athletes from the Dew Tour. Cheryl is a Certified Active Release Technique provider, Graston technique, Nimmo technique, ERchonia cold laser. In addition she has specialized training from the Spine Research Institute of San Diego. Graduates of this program have received the most in-depth, science-based training available today. The program covers the entire spectrum from the physics of motor vehicle crashes to human biomechanics to diagnostics and management. An avid athlete herself, she loves swimming, yoga, scuba diving and is a triathlete. She can't wait to start training again and start participating in the races herself.

Lydia Weber, LCMT, NCBTMB, Member AMTA

Lydia is licensed to practice massage therapy in Maryland and the District of Columbia. She graduated from the Potomac Massage Training Institute (PMTI) in 2006 and practices Deep Tissue and Swedish massage techniques. Lydia has been on staff at White Flint Medical and Natural Healing Center since April 2008 and also works at PMTI as an instructor in the student clinic and as a lead instructor for massage workshops both at the school and at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland. She also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Communications Design from Pratt Institute in New York City. Since 1981, she has worked in the Washington area as a graphic designer/art director at several art studios and at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Lydia currently maintains a private practice in Bethesda, Maryland.

Ling Liu, L.Ac., Dipl. Ac.

Ling is licensed in Acupuncture in Maryland and Virginia. She is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Ling practices acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, and people who have received her treatment have greatly improved their health conditions. From 2001 to 2002, Ling participated in research (with Georgetown University Medical School and Dr. Xiaoming Tian, L.Ac.) sponsored by NIH on the efficacy of Acupuncture as a treatment for Fibromyalgia. She graduated from Beijing Medical University in 1991, and then received her training in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at the Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She finished the master-leveled program, and received the Distinguished Achievement Award from the Maryland Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Ling is on the Board of Directors of the Chinese Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the Greater Washington D.C. Area, the secretary of the National Association of Chinese Medicine, and a member of the American Society of Acupuncturists.
